Education

Gilles RIVET graduated with a Master’s degree in law from the Université catholique de Louvain-La-Neuve in 2016. He specialised in liability law and insurance law. He also followed special training in humanitarian law organized by the Red Cross and was a member of the voluntary movement “Droit sans Toit”.

Several internships within renowned Brussels law firms convinced him to be a lawyer.

Career

After had the opportunity, during his internships, to practice diverse and varied legal areas, mainly relating to civil liability law, construction law, public expropriation law, nuisance caused by neighbours, rental law, e.o., Gilles RIVET decided to focus his practice on his favorite legal areas, namely professional liability, and more particularly medical liability.

During the last four years, he had the privilege of defending doctors and hospital institutions in other specialized law firms.

In 2024 he joined the team of the law firm Paul MUYLAERT.

In addition to medical liability, Gilles RIVET also deals with injury assessment cases, rental law, construction law and insurance law.

He handles cases in French.
